PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication quality to thereby improve a transmission rate, even while performing peak power suppression processing on a multicarrier signal which is to be transmitted. SOLUTION: In this wireless communication system which performs multicarrier communication between a transmission apparatus and a receiving device, the transmission apparatus includes: a transmission signal generation part which generates the multicarrier signal which is to be transmitted; a suppression signal generation part which generates a peak suppression signal with respect to the multicarrier signal; a signal addition part which generates an addition signal between the multicarrier signal and the peak suppression signal; and a transmitting part which transmits the addition signal and the peak suppression signal, the receiving device includes: a receiving part which separates the received signal into the addition signal and the peak suppression signal; and a signal extraction part which extracts the multicarrier signal by subtracting the peak suppression signal from the addition signal.
