PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush spatula having a brush function together since a spatula of a conventional cooking utensil has a body in a smooth surface shape, has only simple functions of agitating a viscous food material and taking it out from a container while being slid, is incapable of holding a material by the body itself, and needs to be exchanged with a different utensil to be used in cooking requiring a brush. SOLUTION: A cooking spatula with a handle which is formed by a heat resistant and elastic silicon resin or the like, has the brush function generated by the softening action of a front end part by many cuts 2 provided toward a handle direction on the front end part of the spatula and a water holding action by a slight gap within the range having a water holding property by the surface tension of moisture provided between the cuts, and a spatula function by the entire spatula body 1 including the side part and cut portion 2 of the spatula.
