<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a magnus windmill for wind power generation which is further improved, coherent, and efficient with much improvement to be expected in spite of a lot of efforts made for improvement of wind power generation technology of a magnus windmill utilizing lift force by Magnus effect. <P>SOLUTION: Development is carried out from the following viewpoints. (1) A windmill for spin rotation is provided to make self start. (2) A structure easy to rotate is formed by minimizing a sum of inertia moment of rotation. (3) Various drag, friction, and loss are reduced as much as possible. (4) The lift force by wind is increased and the drag is reduced by using dimples. When these four items are achieved coherently, the windmill becomes an highly-efficient windmill. That is, even when the lift force is reduced, the highly-efficient windmill can be achieved by reducing the sum of the inertia moment, and various drag, friction, and loss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
