<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of alleviating the adverse effect accompanying decline of the mold releasing characteristics at the surface of the external heating roller member while improving the electricity removing performance of a fixing roller to be heated by an external heating roller. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device F directly heats a fixing roller from the surface by rotating first and second external heating rollers 22, 25 made of a substance with a high heat conductivity, storing a heat source, while making the same contact the surface of a fixing roller 17 with pressure. A mold releasing layer 25c of the second external heating roller 25 is formed with a coating layer of a fluororesin with a conductive filler mixed therein so as to be conductive. A mold releasing layer 22c of the first external heating roller 22 is formed with a coating layer of a fluororesin not including a conductive filler so as to be insulative. The second external heating roller 25 disposed on the downstream side having a conductivity higher than that of the first external heating roller 22 disposed on the upstream side is connected with a grounding potential. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
