PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a microscope having a cornice light shielding member to which mutual walls of the light shielding member contact when being contracted and which is not distorted awfully due to shifting of a bent portion; and a microscope lens barrel. SOLUTION: The microscope includes: a lift fixing member 17; a lift moving member 16 which can move in relation to the lift fixing member 17; and the cornice light shielding member 18 which is provided between the lift fixing member 17 and the lift moving member 16 and which can extend and contract freely.
