FINGERPRINT VERIFICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS WITH HIGH SECURITY

PURPOSE: A device and method of recognizing a finger print recognition which reinforced a security are provided to safely protect fingerprint information stored in a storing device from an external aggressor by adding fake characteristic information to real characteristic information. CONSTITUTION: A register fingerprint characteristic extracting unit(100) extracts a real characteristic from a register fingerprint image which passed through a preprocessing process. A characteristic protection unit(200) converts the real characteristic by polynomial based on identity information. The characteristic protection unit uses difference value from a polynomial result value of the real characteristic to generate fake characteristic.
