The configuration has a coupling mechanism (11) for closing a door of a rack store. The door is guided on rails. An uncoupling and displacing device (12) is used for opening and displacing the door. The coupling mechanism is moved from a closed position into an open position and door is displaced. The closed position of the coupling mechanism is monitored by distance sensor (13a). The uncoupling and displacing device is arranged on a storage and retrieval unit which travels along a rail of a rack-store aisle. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) rack store; and (2) method for connecting, opening, closing and displacing portions of doors of a rack store.
