PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device capable of illuminating the entire field of view, using a comparatively simple structure, even if objective lens is moved so as to have a component in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of the objective lens. SOLUTION: The microscope device 100 includes an illumination device 20, including a light source 21 and irradiating a specimen O with an illumination light emitted from the light source 21; the objective lens 1 having a function of condensing the light emitted from the specimen O illuminated by the illumination device 20; and observation optical systems 2L, 2R for condensing the light emitted from the objective lens 1 and form an image of the specimen O. The objective lens 1 is movable so as to have the component in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the objective lens 1, and the illumination device 20 moves the illumination field of the illumination light, by following the field of view F which is moved by the movement of the objective lens 1 so as to illuminate the field of view F.
