<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which suppresses reductions in measurement accuracy by the use of the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes an internal void space for introducing a gas to be measured from the outside space, a diffusion-controlling part communicating with the internal void space in the longitudinal direction of a sensor element and formed in a slit shape having a thickness thinner than the internal void space for providing a prescribe diffusion resistance for the gas to be measured introduced to the internal void space, a pumping cell provided to pump up oxygen in the internal void space by applying a prescribed voltage between a first electrode formed in the surface of the internal void space and a second electrode formed in a space different from the internal void space, and a measuring cell provided to measure a current flowing between a third electrode and a fourth electrode by applying a voltage between the third electrode and the fourth electrode. The third electrode is formed in the diffusion-controlling part and can reduce an oxide gas component in a prescribed gas component provided with the prescribed diffusion resistance at the diffusion-controlling part, and the fourth electrode is formed at a section different from the diffusion-controlling part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
