PURPOSE: A device for driving a light emitting diode is provided to lower a driving voltage by detecting voltage reduction of a light emitting diode group. CONSTITUTION: A first light emitting diode group(LG1) serially connects a plurality of light emitting diodes. A second light emitting diode group(LG2) is connected to one end of the first light emitting diode group. The second light emitting diode group serially connects a plurality of light emitting diodes. A voltage converting unit(100) converts an input voltage and supplies driving voltages to one ends of the first and second light emitting diode groups. A voltage detecting unit(300) compares the voltage of the other end of the first or second light emitting diode group with a reference voltage. When the voltage of the other end of the first or second light emitting diode group is lower than the reference voltage, a voltage controller(200) provides a current signal for reducing a driving voltage to the voltage converting unit. |
