PURPOSE: A multimedia file searching method and mobile unit thereof which uses a search keyword are provided to increase the search convenience, effectiveness, and availability of the multimedia file by conveniently searching for the content of the multimedia file. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(140) stores a multimedia file including a keyword. A search module compares a search keyword with the keyword in the multimedia file and extracts the keyword. A voice/text converter(174) converts the search keyword of a voice type into the search keyword. A display unit(160) displays a keyword, a reproduction point and a multimedia file including the keyword.
