PURPOSE: A method for measuring individual power usage using a remote power meter and a monitoring method for reducing greenhouse gas are provided to measure the individual power usage without the interruption of the supply of main power by adding the remote power meter between a socket and a plug. CONSTITUTION: The change of current amount and voltage amount in individual power consumption appliances is detected by a current/voltage detecting unit. A main control unit calculates electric energy(S200). The main control unit stores the electric energy in a memory and transfers an external display unit(S300). The main control unit wirelessly transfers the identification data of a remote power meter and the electric energy data through a data transmitting unit(S400).
