<p>The present invention relates to the field of communication satellites comprising a digital processor. The invention more precisely relates to a device for managing signal routing within a satellite, and to the development and use of agile digital transparent processors (DTP1). The main advantage of the present invention is the capability to decorrelate the spreading band of the uplink to said satellite of the instantaneous utility band of each signal, used for routing within the satellite and on the downward link. Accordingly, for a given protection dictating the spreading width of the upward signals, the invention makes it possible to optimize connectivity, i.e. the number of routes through said satellite, as well as the total capacity of the satellite by means of an individualized management of the gain of each route. Indeed, according to the invention, the routing band is limited to the instantaneous utility band of the communications and is not extended to the spreading band of the uplink. The band used in the downlink by each signal can also be limited to the instantaneous utility band, or optionally widened by a novel frequency spread.</p> |
