PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of detecting stored objects in the refrigerator with high accuracy and storing the stored objects in a high quality state according to amounts and positions of the detected stored objects. SOLUTION: This refrigerator includes a refrigerating compartment 10 having an openable and closable door, and a cooling mechanism 20 for cooling foods placed in the refrigerating compartment 10. The refrigerator further includes load quantity detecting means (1, 2) detecting load quantities in the refrigerating compartment 10, and position detecting means (3a, 3b) detecting the positions of the stored objects.
