Cardboard with biocidal properties, which is made of layers of paper, is claimed, where the cardboard has a biocide area with a thickness of at most 3 mm comprising antibacterial components such as particles of nano silver (Ag 0>) and/or ions of copper (Cu) +> 1>, zinc (Zn) +> 2>and/or titanium (Ti) +> 4>. An independent claim is included for producing cardboard comprising treating a surface layer with metal ion-containing preparation, preferably treating the surface layer with a microemulsion of the type of water-in-oil emulsion, whose dispersion phase is formed by water with a droplet size of below 20 nm and in an amount of up to 5 wt.% of preparation, containing an antibacterial agent in the form of silver (Ag) +>ions, Cu 2> +>ions, Zn 2> +>ions and/or Ti 4> +>ions in an amount of 5-2500 mg/kg of the preparation, where a continuous phase is formed by cyclohexane, dodecane, heptane, decane and/or octane in an amount of at least 95 wt.% of the preparation, where the microemulsion contains stabilizers in an amount of up to 10 wt.% such as surfactants with a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) value of 3-6, which are bis(2-ethylhexyl)sodium-sulfosuccinate, p-1,1, 3,3-tetramethylbutyl phenyl polyethylene glycol ether, sorbate monooleate, sorbate monostearate and/or co-surfactants such as isopropanol, hexanol, n-butanol and/or n-octanol and with a HLB value of 8-12, which are polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate, polyoxyethylene(4)lauryl ether and/or cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and/or sodium lauryl sulfate, where the method to obtain the microemulsion is performed with truncation at a speed of at least 800 m.second -> 1>, where the microemulsion is uniformly applied to a surface of the cardboard until the content of the antibacterial agent is at least 30 mg/m 2>, where the cardboard is favorably illuminated with UV-visible radiation and/or heated to 80[deg] C, and/or a reducing product is added.
|
