<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system capable of saving energy by increasing the power conversion efficiency of a power unit as much as possible even if a load variation is relatively large. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of power units 10a to 10d, namely switching power supplies, are connected in parallel with a DC supply line Wdc connected to DC equipment 102. A power feeding control means 20 operates the remaining power units except one of the plurality of power units with the maximum power conversion efficiency when selecting the plurality of power units 10a to 10d in the power feeding state.
