A braking device for a board for gliding, comprising a brake (24, 34, 44) that can occupy a first, braking position, in which it occupies a low position capable of entering into friction with the ground, and a second, non-braking position, in which it occupies a raised position, and comprising a means for controlling the position of the brake, wherein the means for controlling the position of the brake comprises a link means (22; 32; 42) adapted for a link with a strap of a boot binding on a board for gliding, such that the means for controlling the brake lead to the automatic positioning, in the non-braking position, of the brake upon closing and/or tightening of a strap on a boot.
