PURPOSE: A crash box for a vehicle is provided to stably guide the directivity of collapse of a crash box by absorbing the collision energy between both projection rods and both diaphragm parts. CONSTITUTION: A crash box for a vehicle comprises former, backward flanges(11,13), inner and outer panels(21,22), an upper panel, a lower panel(24), a protrusion rod(33), and a leaf spring(37). The panels are bent in multiple stages in S-shape. The protrusion rods are arranged between the front and backward flanges. A plurality of protrusions(31) is formed on the protrusion rod along a longitudinal direction. The leaf spring is installed on the center of the backward flange corresponding to the backend of the protrusion rod. The protrusion of the protrusion rod passes through the leaf spring, and the leaf spring is elastically transformed. |
