PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device comprising the same are provided to fix a light guide plate and allow the efficient incidence of the light from an LED to the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit comprises: a bottom cover(150) including at least one first protrusion unit(151); an LED(Light Emitting Diode) which is placed on one side of the bottom cover and contains a supporter(123), a substrate(122) and plural light sources(121) arranged on the substrate; and a light guide plate(131) which includes a light incident plane and a light emitting plane, wherein the first protrusion unit is placed between the LED light source and the light guide plate. |
