The invention relates to a cheese container being a cylinder or prism in shape and receiving cheese in the shape of a truncated prism or truncated cone. When the cheese is set onto the base, its shape impedes the cheese from floating into the brine so that any potential contact with gas trapped into the package and concentrated at the top thereof can be prevented. The advantage of the invention consists in the fact that the mass of the cheese is entirely emerged into brine with no use of any other accessory.
