<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely increase handling capacity of a container by enhancing cargo handling capacity of the container in a storage yard. <P>SOLUTION: This container terminal includes the storage yard 16 extending in the substantially orthogonal direction to a quay 2 and having a plurality of storage lanes 15 for stacking and storing the container 3 in a predetermined position, a transfer crane 17 traveling by straddling the respective storage cranes 15, a plurality of automated guided carriages 11 traveling along a carriage guiding passage 19 between a quay apron area 8 provided with a container crane 9 and a quay side position 18 of the storage yard, a reciprocating carriage 21 traveling along a track 20 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the respective storage lanes, a transfer crane 24 for delivering the container between the reciprocating carriage 21 and the automated guided carriages 11 of the respective storage lanes in the quay side position 18, and a transfer crane 27 for delivering the container between the reciprocating carriage 21 and a road chassis 12 of the respective storage lanes in a land side position 25 of the storage yard. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
