<p>A network selection method and a terminal device are provided. The method comprises: a locally configured domain priority setting item is obtained if an access in a first network domain is failed when a terminal is in location registering or location updating; if the domain priority setting item indicates that the first network domain is preferential, the terminal reselects a network; if the domain priority setting item indicates that a second network domain is preferential, the terminal judges whether it has been successfully registered in the second network domain, if no, the terminal reselects a network, and if yes, the terminal does not reselect a network. The connection reliability of the network domain used by a user preferentially is ensured by adding a domain priority setting item to the terminal, and when the network fails to be accessed, judging whether it is needed to reselect a network according to the domain priority setting item. Hereby, manufacturers can carry out different network selection modes according to different types of terminals by configurating the domain priority setting item, and the demands of users are fitted better.</p> |
