PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which exhibits low-temperature fixability and high-temperature offset resistance and has excellent fixing characteristics, and a production method thereof. SOLUTION: The toner contains 5-40% of an isocyanate group-containing polymer, and the amount of residues in the toner, which are not extracted by THF Soxhlet extraction, is 2-50%. In thermal decomposition products produced by thermal decomposition of the toner at 50-700°C, a ratio of (B) an amount of nitrogen in a compound containing one or more isocyanate groups and one or more amino groups to (A) an amount of nitrogen in a compound containing two or more isocyanate groups satisfies 0.1≤(B)/(A)≤6. Concentration of a remaining solvent in an emulsified or dispersion liquid after a first desolventizing process is 10-70% with respect to 100 parts of toner pure components, and that after a second desolventizing process is≤5% with respect to 100 parts of toner pure components in the emulsified or dispersion liquid. In an aging process, the emulsified or dispersion liquid is supplied into a heated inner pipe from the bottom of an aging device and is discharged from the top of the aging device.
