摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pad capable of suppressing generation of rust on a holding surface of a back plate, and moreover, preventing reduction of manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: The brake pad has a friction material 14 in which a content of phenol resin is 6-8 wt.%, and the back plate 12 which is a plate member for holding the friction material 14 on the holding surface 13, where surface roughness of the holding surface 13 is 5-15 μm, and which has no penetration hole in the plate-thickness direction. Epoxy-phenol resin adhesive is applied to the back plate 12 by thickness of 5-10 μm from the top of the surface roughness to make the friction material 14 adhere to the back plate.
