PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner manufacturing method for obtaining toner free from toner peeling at a fold or insufficient fixing strength in which hybridization of a polyester resin and a radically polymerizable monomer advances efficiently and in a short time period, and a sufficient elastic modulus at a high temperature is secured, while solving the problems of offset and excessive glossiness. SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: dispersing a polyester resin prepared by condensing a polyhydric alcohol and an unsaturated polycarboxylic acid into an aqueous medium, and preparing a polyester resin particle dispersion liquid; adding a vinyl polymerizable monomer and a radical polymerization initiator to the polyester resin particle dispersion liquid to cause a radical polymerization reaction, followed by preparing a dispersion liquid of resin particles made of a resin in which vinyl polymerizable monomers react with the polyester resin; and mixing at least the resin particles formed of the resin in which the vinyl polymerizable monomers react with the polyester resin, and a dispersion liquid of coloring agent particles, and forming toner particles by causing the resin particles and the coloring agent particles to aggregate.
