The assembly (40) has a set of smaller sprockets (1) and larger sprockets (2) having a radially outer ring with a set of teeth for engaging a roller chain. A set of pins (7) is provided for connecting the smaller sprockets and the larger sprockets to each other. A mounting sprocket is connected to the smaller sprockets by the pins. Another mounting sprocket is connected to the larger sprockets by the pins. The former mounting sprocket and the latter mounting sprocket are supported on a hub axle at two positions spaced apart in an axial direction of the hub axle. |
