PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the selection of a menu item, with respect to a recorder in which the menu item is selected from a menu having a plurality of menu items.

SOLUTION: A printer P includes an order change part 29 rearranging the order of the menu items in the menu, based on the menu item selected in the past. In the order change part 29, when each of the plurality of menu items is one selected when setting related to printing is performed and settings related to printing corresponding to each menu item are related to each other, the order of the menu items in the menu is rearranged in a state where these menu items are not separated from each other and the order of these menu items is not changed.
