PURPOSE: A power train for a hybrid vehicle is provided to improve fuel efficiency by cost-efficiently constituting the power crane. CONSTITUTION: A power train for a hybrid vehicle comprises a planetary gear set(PG), a first brake(BK1), a second brake(BK2), a first clutch(C1), a second clutch(C2), a third clutch(C3), and a power source. The planetary gear set comprises first and second sun gears(S1, S2), a ring gear(R), and a carrier(C). The first brake restricts the rotation of the first sun gear. The second brake restricts the rotation of the second sun gear. The first and second clutchs are formed between the first sun gear and the ring gear in series. The third clutch is formed between the second sun gear and the carrier. The power source receives power from the rotation elements of the planetary gear set.
