PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock absorber making vibration and noise of a rebound spring hard to be transmitted to a vehicle body side. SOLUTION: A piston rod 5 with a piston rod 6 connected thereto is slidably inserted in a cylinder filled with hydraulic liquid and damping force is generated with strokes of the piston rod 6 by extension side and contraction side damping force generation mechanism 13, 14 and damping force generation mechanism 18. A rebound stopper 19 is provided around the piston rod 6 in the cylinder 2, its one end is fixed to a rod guide 8 mounted to the cylinder 2 and the other end is set as a free end. A spring guide 21 having an elastic member 24 is mounted to the free end of the rebound stopper 19 and the elastic member 24 is brought in slide contact with the piston rod 6. Vibration and noise of the rebound spring 19 are absorbed by the elastic member 24 and are made hard to be transmitted to the vehicle body side via the piston rod 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
