Disclosed is an emulsifying agent comprising, as an active ingredient, a polyfluoroalkyl phosphonate salt represented by general formula: CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cP(O)(OM1)(OM2) (wherein M1 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an ammonium base, or an organic amine base; M2 represents an alkali metal, an ammonium base or an organic amine base; n represents an integer of 1 to 6; a represents an integer of 1 to 4; b represents an integer of 1 to 3; and c represents an integer of 1 to 3). A aqueous solution or an organic solvent solution of the emulsifying agent can be used effectively for the emulsification of a perfluoro polyether oil or a perfluorocarbon compound. An emulsion produced by the emulsification has good emulsion stability, and therefore can be used effectively as a mold release agent. |
