A detector for determining the location of a pulsed laser spot reflected from a scene, comprising a first sensor 1 , such as a CCD full frame sensor, arranged to image the scene, having pixels arranged in rows and columns, and means 2 to read-out the data, a second sensor 5, such as a full-frame CCD sensor, arranged to image the scene, having pixels arranged in rows and columns, and means 6 to read-out the data, wherein the columns of the first and second sensors extend at different, preferably orthogonal, orientations relative to the imaged scene, so that the position of the spot can be determined from its locations along the respective pixel columns. The detector may include means to detect pulse spacing and may have a filter for passing only laser wavelengths. The detector may have a beam splitter 4 where the sensors are spatially separated or the sensors may be superimposed on each other. |
