PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and simple carriage for high place, which is appropriate to travel in a high place of a multistory storage shelf. SOLUTION: Rails X are arranged in a high place between a plurality of multistory storage shelves 2 arranged in parallel with each other, and a rail Y is arranged close to the end of the multistory storage shelf 2 to extend in a direction crossing the rail X. The height of both the rails X and Y are made slightly different from each other, and a carriage 1 for high place travelling along the rails X and Y is provided. This carriage 1 includes: main wheels 6 for travelling on the rail X; and laterally travelling wheels 7 for travelling on the rail Y. The main wheel 6 can be freely elevated by a wheel elevating handle 10 manually operated. A travelling manual handle 8 is provided to manually operate the main wheels 6 travel, and the handle 8 drives both the main wheels 6 and the lateral travelling wheels 7.
