PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preparing slightly acidic electrolyzed water by a non-diaphragm type electrolysis, and to provide a composition used as raw material. SOLUTION: The method of preparing electrolyzed water includes a process of electrolyzing dilute hydrochloric acid containing hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate by the non-diaphragm type electrolysis while diluting the dilute hydrochloric acid with water having a calcium hardness. The method of preparing electrolyzed water further includes a process of diluting the dilute hydrochloric acid with a sodium bicarbonate solution, wherein the concentration of sodium bicarbonate of the sodium bicarbonate solution is set to be in the range of 0.1 to 700 ppm.
