PURPOSE: A video encoding error detecting system and a method thereof are provided to detect an encoding error by extracting the feature of an original video as well as the feature of an encoded image. CONSTITUTION: A user terminal(110) receives, decodes and displays a video ingested from a video image device(130) through a communication network(120). A video device provides a video to the user terminal through the communication network. The video device compares the feature of an original video with the feature of an encoded video when ingesting the original video including a video and an audio, and detects an encoding error when the comparison result is over a critical value.
