Manually controlled, gas-operated tool having a real-time clock

A manually controlled and gas-operated tool, comprises a cylinder 5 inside of which is slidably mounted a piston 6 for driving a fastening element, under the action of an explosion inside the combustion chamber 3 of a mixture of gas and air that has been injected therein from a gas cartridge. For safety reasons the tool will not operate until after the tool is rested against a support, retraction of the fastener guide 8, closing of the combustion chamber 3, and actuation of the trigger mechanism that controls the spark plug. The tool further includes means for determining the rate of fire and tool locking means. When the rate is too high and possibly harmful to the proper functioning of the tool, the tool locking means will activate and the tool will lock.
