<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage device including a structure preventing the outflow of a thermal storage medium to the outside of a heat storage container more than ever before. <P>SOLUTION: The heat storage device 1 includes: the heat storage container 4 storing the thermal storage medium 22 used for latent heat storage and having a thermal storage medium layer comprising the thermal storage medium 22 and formed in the lower part; a supply pipe 6 for supplying heating medium oil 21 having smaller specific gravity compared to that of the thermal storage medium 22 from the outside of the heat storage container 4 to the inside of the thermal storage medium layer; and a discharge pipe 7 for discharging the heating medium oil 21 supplied to the inside of the thermal storage medium layer to the outside of the heat storage container 4. The heat storage device 1 further includes a plurality of metal plates 8 (PCM layer interior member) vertically arranged within the thermal storage medium layer.
