<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a polishing roller on which toner uniformly adheres. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor drum (18) which rotates to form a toner image on the surface thereof; the polishing roller (56) which comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum and rotates to polish the surface thereof; a cleaning blade (52) which comes into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor drum on the downstream side of the contact position between the surface of the photoreceptor drum and the polishing roller, when viewed in the direction of rotation of the photoreceptor drum, to remove the residual toner from the surface of the photoreceptor drum; a toner receiving member (58) which stores the removed residual toner and causes the residual toner to adhere to the polishing roller; and a layer regulating roller (66) which comes into contact with the polishing roller and rotates to adjust the thickness of the residual toner adhering to the polishing roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
