PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for improving productivity and accuracy during processing by suppressing heat generation during the processing while valuing safety without impairing working efficiency in grinding processing. SOLUTION: A three-way joint 1 is formed on a pipe for cooling liquid in a grinder. A valve 4 for supplying compressed air and a nozzle 2 are provided on the side which intersects with flow of the cooling liquid flowing straight. An amount of the compressed air, which is adjusted to have a pressure lower than fluid pressure of the cooling liquid by a pressure reducing valve 3, can be adjusted by the valve 4. The cooling liquid and the air are mixed together in a gap leading to a discharge port 6, and are sprayed to a grinding surface of a workpiece 7 and a grinding stone 8 from the discharge port 6.
