PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical base isolation device suppressing increase of an amplitude in the vertical direction. SOLUTION: The vertical base isolation device isolates the vertical vibration transmitted from a lower structure to an upper structure. An elastic member for supporting the upper structure is interposed between the upper structure and the lower structure. The vertical base isolation device includes a vertical displacement regulating member for regulating a relative displacement in the vertical direction of the upper structure caused by the vibration to the lower structure.
