PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vector for directional cloning and a method.

SOLUTION: The method for inducing expression of a target DNA sequence in a host cell comprising a step of bringing a recombinant host cell deleting rhamnose catabolism and having a recombinant DNA molecule comprising rhamnose inducing promoter operably linked with an open reading frame of a heterologous RNA polymerase into contact with rhamnose, and an expression vector comprising a promoter of a heterologous RNA polymerase operably linked to the target DNA sequence.
