PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an amount of water in a pot without using an electrode-type water level sensor in a pot type steam generator using no water tank. SOLUTION: At the time of low-temperature start or in a state of the low-temperature start, a water amount detecting part 38 determines that there is a large amount of water in the water pot 15 (full capacity) if elapsed time after the low-temperature start reaches regulated time of 300 sec before a temperature of an engine thermistor 36 reaches set temperature of 90°C or higher. On the other hand, the water amount detecting part 38 determines that there is a small amount of water in the water pot 15 (less than the full capacity) if the temperature of the engine thermistor 36 becomes the set temperature of 90°C or higher before the elapsed time after the low-temperature start reaches the regulated time of 300 sec. The amount of water in the water pot 15 is detected thereby without using an electrode type water level sensor, in the pot type steam generator using no water tank. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
