The device (1) has an inert gas supply mechanism (9) supplying inert gas e.g. carbon dioxide, to a curing container (5). A circulation line is communicatively connected with an end at an area and connected with another end distant from the former end. A flow mechanism e.g. blower, is arranged in the line such that gas in a cycle is led in a section of a supply pipe (2). The cycle is connected with the gas supply mechanism, so that the inert gas is formed in the cycle. An irradiation mechanism (6) is provided at the container for illuminating workpieces (3). An independent claim is also included for a method for radiation curing of workpieces.
