PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a camera module having an external light shielding part manufacturable easily in a process without requiring man-power or labor in a manufacturing process, which works for a flare prevention countermeasure of the camera module manufactured in a wafer process, and to provide a method for manufacturing the camera module. SOLUTION: In the camera module, a side wall of the camera module formed by laminating at least one lens body on a solid imaging element through a glass spacer is coated by a shielding layer, and a shielding film is formed by some of an electroless plating method, a vacuum film forming method and an application method.
