The method for the production of cylindrical glass tube component (100) from borosilicate glass for chemical- plant and laboratories from a first glass tube part (110) that has two edges (111, 112) running in longitudinal direction of the cylindrical glass tube component, comprises melting one of both edges of the first glass tube part running in longitudinal direction (109) of the produced cylindrical glass tube component with an edge of a further glass tube part (120) that has two edges running in longitudinal direction of the produced cylindrical glass tube component, or the another edge of the first glass tube part by laser energy. The first and second glass tube parts are glass tube part half-shells, or the first glass tube part is glass tube sleeve. The glass tube part shells are melted on its edges running in longitudinal direction of the produced cylindrical glass tube components by applying laser energy. The glass tube part shells or glass tube part sleeves are formed from flat glass plates that are melted together on two edges by applying the laser energy. The flat glass plates are formed to glass tube part shells. The laser energy is applied related to the glass tube part shells to be melted and/or related to the glass tube part sleeves to be melted from outside. The laser energy is applied related to the glass tube part shells to be melted and/or related to the glass tube part sleeves to be melted. The laser energy is directed in directions for simultaneous production of melt seams. The laser beams are directed along the melt seam in such a way that the total edges are heated and melted in a process. The glass tube component has a nominal diameter of 800-1000 mm. The glass tube component has wall strength of 16 mm. Carbon dioxide laser is used for melting the edges.</p>
