PURPOSE: A device and method for generating a sound radiation pattern are provided to simultaneously use a reflective wave overlapping filter using a time reversing technology and a focusing filter using a sound radiation pattern control technology, thereby increasing the focusing performance of an array speaker. CONSTITUTION: An input signal is outputted in an internal space through an array speaker. A reflective wave overlapping filter(212) overlaps at least one reflective component vertical to the input signal, which is reached to a target location, with the direction sound of the input signal at the target location. A copy unit(214) copies the input signal as many as the number of the output channels of the array speaker. A focusing filter(216) forms a horizontally preset radiation pattern in the internal space while the copied input signal is outputted through the array speaker. The focusing filter processes the copied signal.
