PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure of a vehicle center pillar that can prevent the abutment of a lower end edge of a hinge reinforcement on a side body inner when an external force is received from a vehicle side, and can suppress an entering amount of the center pillar into a vehicle cabin. SOLUTION: A lower structure of right and left center pillars 4 is constituted so that upper ends and lower ends are coupled to side rails extending along a vehicle fore-and-aft direction at both right and left sides of a vehicle upper portion, respectively, and side sills extending along the vehicle fore-and-aft direction at both right and left sides of a vehicle lower portion, respectively. The lower structure also constituted by including a side body outer panel 7, a hinge reinforcement 8 and a side body inner panel 9 that are arranged in this order from the outside of the vehicle. A convex portion 9a projecting outward in a vehicle width direction is formed at a position slightly above a lower end of the hinge reinforcement 8 of the side body inner panel 9.
