PURPOSE: A composition containing imidazo[2,1-f]purine-2,4(3h,8h)-dione or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is provided to prevent and treat TFG-beta overexpression-associated diseases. CONSTITUTION: A composition for suppressing TFG-beta activity contains imidazo[2,1-f]purine-2,4(3h,8h)-dione of chemical formula A or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The imidazo[2,1-f]furine-2,4(3h,8h)-dione compound is 3-(2-chlorobenzyl)-1,7-dimethyl-1H-imidazo[2,1-f]purine-2,4(3H,8H)-dione. The composition is used for preventing or treating cancer, inflammation, or fibrosis. An anticancer composition contains imidazo[2,1-f]purine-2,4(3h,8h)-dione of chemical formula A or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
