PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that prevents deterioration in print quality without adding a new mechanism in printing in which a plurality of inks thermally adheres to a roll recording medium with heat. SOLUTION: The printer includes: a conveyance means 2 configured to convey the roll recording medium 1; a print means 4 configured to print an image by sequentially transferring a plurality of color inks onto the recording medium 1; a decurling means 3 disposed between the conveyance means 2 and the print means 4 and configured to include a raised portion 31 that decurls the recording medium 1; and a control means 5 configured to control the conveyance means 2 to convey the recording medium 1 to a waiting position after ending the transfer of one color ink, wherein the waiting position is a position where an area on a leading edge side area 11 or a trailing edge side area 12 within a printing object range of the recording medium 1 is in contact with the raised portion 31.
