PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die cushion device attaining simplification and compacting of a device constitution and effectively realizing the reduction of cost or the like. SOLUTION: The surface of a cushion pad 12 is provided with blank holders 14, and by energizing the cushion pad 12 to the upper part, the peripheral part of a work W is held between the blank holders 14 and a press upper die 1. A linear motor 15 is provided as a driving source for energizing the cushion pad 12 to the upper part, and by controlling the linear motor 15, proper cushioning power in a press forming stage is obtained.
