PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electromagnetic welding equipment and an electromagnetic welding method which can suitably and certainly weld a cylindrical metal sheet and a planar metal sheet each other. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic welding equipment 1 includes: a coil 2 including a current concentration part 2a elongating to a prescribed axis D direction, on a prescribed plane P; a holding member 3 holding a cylindrical first metal sheet A from the side of the inner circumferential face and locating the same parallel to the prescribed axis D direction; and a pair of holding members 4 holding the first metal sheet A from the outside in the radial direction, and further includes a gap adjustment member 5 adjusting a gap G between a planar second metal sheet B mounted on the prescribed plane P of the coil 2 and the first metal sheet A.
